HELLO!

Welcome back. Seven years after my first ride across the United States, I am doing it again.

This blog will document my trek.

Day 18 - El Paso to Fort Hancock (61.3 miles)

Today was a tough day. After 1.3 miles this morning, Paul Garvey, from South Carolina , fell hard as he was crossing a rough railroad track and broke his hip. He was taken by ambulance to Los Perusas Hospital in El Paso. He’ll be operated on tomorrow. The whole team was upset by the news and it affected everyone all day.

The ride was also tough today with an average headwind speed of 15 mph. After traveling through El Paso, we headed to Fort Hancock. Stayed at the Community Center.
