Started the day with dense fog up to the first SAG stop at 16 miles. Highlights of the second stop was Oberlin Donuts. At 60 miles, we reached the town of Mamou, the Cajun Music Capital of the World. Ate at the Crazy Cajun Cafe and went across the street to Fred’s Lounge, a lively venue at 11 am on a Saturday. Fun place, met some friendly townspeople. Rode 25 more miles to the Opelousas Days Inn. Dinner was a Cajun medley of crawfish over rice, jambalaya, hush puppies, vegetables, and bread pudding. Terrific!
