Check in, an Orientation meeting and a nice meal with the entire group were the highlights of Day 1. Day 2, the first riding day, started around 9 am with a back tire “wheel dip” in the Pacific at “Dog Beach” in the Ocean Beach section of San Diego. Rode along the San Diego Bikeway to Mission Hills Regional Park, on to Lakeside and into Alpine. Total climbing was 2657 ft, mostly in the last 10 miles.
Hotel stay tonight at the Ayres Hotel.
Final count: 21 riders, between 54 and 83.
