After 8 days of riding, today is a non riding day to catch up and rest. Catalina State Park is a great place for that.
After a delicious breakfast, went to Walmart for some supplies. On the way back to camp, saw a Nesting Great Barred Owl. Learned the art of washing your bike from Lance, the tour director. Then applied what I learned.
Ready for a new week of riding and discovery.
Good time to mention the great job being done by the touring company, Timberline Adventures and a special thanks to Tanner, the chef who has created very tasty meals in quantity for this group.
View from the ridge above the Flycatcher campground.
Another fine cactus specimen
…and another
Lance showing the art of washing a bike. So much better than how I did it.
A Great Barred Owl near our campsite. Saw it at 10 am and again at 5 pm.
Can’t get enough cactus and mountain shots.
Spent two nights here.
