Lots of variety today…left Tombstone HS and rode to the Old West section past the OK Corral and climbed to the Continental Divide Obelisk, the highest point of the entire ride. Downhill into Bisbee with a coffee stop, then on past a copper mine, and into Lowell, with its collection of old cars on a single street. Twenty two miles later, arrived in Douglas, AZ and are staying in the Gadsden Hotel, built in 1907.
Some of the group at the “wrong” Continental Divide Obelisk, the highest point of the tour @ 6030’ (Tim, Paul, Karen, me, Chuck, Terry, Evonne, John, & Dan)
The Obelisk was built even though the Core of Engineers established the wrong location. (We will go over the real CD on Friday in New Mexico)
